Hi there, it’s Kylie from Rekreate Women’s Fitness, and welcome to another episode of Real Women, Real Stories. In this inspiring interview, I sit down with Jess, a paramedic and a mom of three who’s managed to conquer injuries and a hectic schedule to prioritize her health and fitness journey. Watch to find out how she does it!

Meet Jess, an incredible woman who has taken control of her life, health, and fitness journey despite juggling a demanding career as a paramedic and the responsibilities of being a mom to three young children. In this blog post, we delve into Jess’s remarkable journey, from overcoming injuries to prioritizing her well-being at Rekreate Fitness.

Getting to Know Jess:

Jess, at 36 years old, has her hands full with a 5.5-year-old, a 3.5-year-old, and a nearly one-year-old child. Add in her demanding job as a paramedic, and her life becomes a whirlwind of responsibilities. However, what’s truly amazing is how she manages to make time for her fitness routine.

The Path to Rekreate:

Jess’s fitness journey started approximately 2.5 years ago when she faced an injury resulting from a car accident and the subsequent cycle of reinjuries at work. She sought out a rehab program that led her to Rekreate Fitness. The idea of a women’s gym with a crèche facility appealed to her, and it marked the beginning of her fitness transformation.

Discovering the Joy of Group Classes:

Rekreate Fitness offered a different fitness experience for Jess. Unlike traditional gyms with rows of equipment, she found a vibrant community where group classes were filled with camaraderie and fun. Her nervousness faded as she realized the welcoming environment that Rekreate provided.

Overcoming Setbacks:

Jess’s fitness journey faced setbacks, including another injury during her last pregnancy, which required a nine-month hiatus. However, her determination remained unwavering. She started from scratch postpartum, focusing on the basics to rebuild her strength and fitness.

Prioritizing Health and Fitness:

What sets Jess apart is her unwavering commitment to prioritizing her health and fitness, even with a demanding career and a young family. She emphasizes the ripple effect it has on her entire life. By making fitness a priority, she has improved her physical and mental well-being, set an example for her children, and excelled in her job.

Jess’s Advice:

Jess’s message to all women, especially those juggling injuries, motherhood, and busy schedules, is to prioritize health and fitness. She highlights the transformative power of consistency and the profound impact it has on every aspect of life. Taking those steps toward fitness can lead to newfound strength and happiness.

Jess’s story is a testament to the incredible results that can be achieved when health and fitness are given the priority they deserve. She embodies the spirit of determination and serves as an inspiration to everyone, showing that with the right mindset and support, anything is possible.
